I'm William Walsh, a photographer, an award-winning author, and one of the team photographers for the Atlanta Silverbacks professional soccer team. My books include Speak So I Shall Know Thee: Interviews with Southern Writers, The Ordinary Life of a Sculptor, The Conscience of My Other Being, Under the Rock Umbrella: Contemporary American Poets from 1951-1977, and David Bottoms: Critical Essays and Interviews.

I have been interested in photography since I was 17 when I started out with 1940's German camera with a heavy metal body, a view finder, and fixed lens. Now I shoot Canon equipment exclusively using Canon's top-of-the-line Mark IV and L-lenses for the finest quality. My photography has been published in many magazines, and most recently, a show in Istanbul, Turkey. I am also photographing ANDALUSIA, Flannery O'Connor's 550-acre farm for a photography book to be published in 2012.

My specialty is SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY of the highest calibre -- children and adults playing all levels of sports, from the beginner to the professional.
